So, how will you go about researching your family history......

Prior to your visit, you will be sent a questionnaire to fill in.  This is to discover the basic outline of what you already know about your family history. This will enable us to plan in advance some of your research and possibly allow us to order some documents prior to your visit.  This will ensure that you gain the most out of your research time here in France.

Once you are here, we will be able to go through all the documentation and research you have already done, and put together a plan of how to proceed with your research.  You will have free access to all the resources I have available.  These include :

  • Indexes to the General Registration of Births, Marriages and Deaths.
  • Census returns from 1841 to 1911.
