Gascony is well known for it's culinary delights.  Enjoy the local foie gras, confit de canard, garlic (from St Clar), locally grown melons (from Lectoure) and the spectacular "Croustade", a type of crispy apple pie which almost melts in your mouth.

The region's wines are some of the best in France.  Locally brewed Armagnac is a speciality of the area and the Floc de Gascogne aperatif is the perfect way to start a meal.

Life in this area of France is different from anywhere else in France.  People are attracted to Gascony because of its slow pace of life.

This is a traditional agricultural area where the warm and friendly nature of the locals only adds to the beauty of the landscape.

The  weekly village markets are an assault on the senses.  Locally grown fresh vegetables and fruit, beautiful traditional linens and tableclothes, handmade crafts and jewellery, freshly baked bread and cakes, a multitude of french cheeses, and so much more.

Gascony is an area steeped in history.  Every village has carefully preserved it's own architecture.

From the castles and fortified buildings, to the hilltop abbeys and churches; from the home of the musketeers to the mystical intrigue of the pilgrim route to Saint-Jacques de Compostella, there is something for everyone.
